About Plan 9 /magic/group

This server runs the Plan 9 operating system. Those URLs that start with /magic are serviced by particular programs that either generate HTML code or attend user requests. Pages under /magic/group are serviced by our web group program (and default to the dso forum).

The program used is just a couple of files in the C language, which is considerably simpler than other alternatives, and hopefully easier to maintain:

• group.c serves requests.
• article.h contains definitions for articles.
• article.c implements operations for articles.

This program maintains web discussion groups that allow messages with arbitrary HTML code.

The service is for local use and will be discontinued if abussed, although we hope that won't be necessary.
